For me, Quick Scan works less than 10% of the time. The scan starts, runs about 8 seconds, then finishes with failed. It doesn't matter when I run it, even within 20 mintues of a successful scheduled scan. All scheduled scans succeed 100% of the time. |

Hi, Thank you for your post. When you do a remote scan (either Quick Scan or Network Appliance Scan) you have to have the following requirements in place: * Administrative privileges * Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3, 2003, 2008, Vista, and 7 * Windows Update Agent 2.0 * Standard Windows services/ports: o Workstation and Server Service o Remote Registry Service o File and Print Sharing o COM+ o Ports 139/tcp and 445/tcp open inbound If you are scanning a Windows 7 machine Remote Registry Service is disable by default. When you say "all scheduled scans" does that mean you are using the Secunia CSI Agent? If this is the case you should know that the Secunia CSI Agent has less requirements so it's pretty common that the remote scan doesn't work while the agent based scan works perfectly. Let me know if you have other questions, -- Kind Regards, Oana Marin Solution Specialist |
