Had an interesting situation that has not come up before in forum. It involved this thread: http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/125... This thread involves a porting issue. In trying to delay start of Psi in my instance the program I was using was unable to have an effect in correcting memory to have a delay start of secunia. Unknown if this may help in correcting the above situation. My point being; would it be of benefit to have a way of flagging threads that secunia officials should have a look at and may be able to rectify.

Who would administer this additional flagging tab? What advantage is there over the current system of emailing Secunia support if really deemed necessary?

Flagging will not necessarily help. For example,@templet created the thread U point to with a V3 BETA issue. He/she has the right to lock it at any time.

There is no point in flagging a locked thread. Once locked by the originator I hope Secunia Support would never consider reopening it without the express permission of the originator. If requested I most certainly will not particularly since,in this case, all the subsequent interactions has come from (a) hi-jacker(s) dealing with V2.

Secunia look at the Forum on a daily basis & if they see help is required they input. They have been active today.

They have already been active on the thread U highlight therefore would receive the update emails from the "tag on" posts & helpers. Looks like they have nothing extra to offer given it does not appear to be a PSI malfunction.

The problem(s)looks very similar to many others whereby the end user has changed some security settings or installed a programme that changes security settings either with or without the users consent which "upsets" PSI.

I have no idea what U mean by "a porting issue" or correcting memory to have a delayed start so would not try to help out.

Knowing how some people are about having excessive e-mails pinging their inbox,I thought a simple box with reply, edit could be utilized this would allow Secunia officials to prioritize at their convenience .
This is not an attempt to alter the thread or the people involved but as a way for Secunia officials to potentially say add something in the FAQ or potentially find a means to secure the transmission from intrusive programs (as in utilizing a means/programming to secure memory/cache). I realize that they go through the threads and in the case of 3.0 beta they are actually utilizing them. I just found the thread an interesting fix to “some security suites have unorthodox settings” Most intermediate an advanced users are aware of the security protocols in their tools options.
