Downloads from "Install Solution" don't work. See only these:
-> FlashPlayer_ax_11.2.202.228_32-bit.exe
-> flashplayer_ax10.3.183.16.exe
-> JavaJRE_6u31_32-bit.exe

Please repair your links. I hope Secunia.com is not affected by a rootkit or something else...

U do not give much detail.

Which version of PSI are U using? What error messages are U receiving?

I have just tested two of your notifications on my test machine using PSI version 2.0.3003 & they appear to work perfectly.

As I am sure U are aware the updates U quote are not the latest versions.

The standalone Adobe Flash Player is 11.2.202.235 not 11.2.202.228
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Adobe Shockwave is 11.6.4.634 not 10.3.183.16
http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/

I managed to update a fairly old copy of Oracle JAVA to 6 update 32 which is the latest version.

http://java.com/en/download/ie_manual.jsp?locale=e...

Rumours abound that Oracle will try to move everyone to Version 7 in the very near future & are advising users to remove all old copies from their PC's once released.

EDIT - This may be of interest regarding Flash.

I think that doesn't matter which version of PSI am I using since it may not be the cause...
The only thing it does it to start a download. But that download doesn't work.
That means the file I'm downloading is wrong or, maybe, corrupt.

I've already downloaded these files (already listed, but now with more details):

-> FlashPlayer_ax_11.2.202.228_32-bit.exe
File size: 4.459.008 bytes
MD5 hash: 8889ebf299c66ef0f9c37d585184907c
Secunia URL: http://dl.secunia.com/SPS/FlashPlayer_ax_11.2.202....

-> flashplayer_ax10.3.183.16.exe
File size: 3.266.048 bytes
MD5 hash: add303e553d2d767ee4a0547aad35d12
Secunia URL: http://dl.secunia.com/SPS/flashplayer_ax10.3.183.1...

-> JavaJRE_6u31_32-bit.exe
File size: 14.901.760 bytes
MD5 hash: 90f87b483e3aeb2cc004781f01d4090b
Secunia URL: http://dl.secunia.com/SPS/JavaJRE_6u31_32-bit.exe

If I try to execute all of these files, nothing happens. No window appear, no process in task manager. WHY ???

It is fairly vital users state which version of PSI they are using.

Version 3 is in BETA & users (BETA testers) should expect the unexpected & report any bugs direct to support at support@secunia.com giving details (which in your case would include why U think the install links are broken & more details on your suggestion that the programme may be subject to a Roolkit or other outrage). Guidance is offered by Secunia here:

http://secunia.com/products/consumer/PSI/faq/#q9

If using a stable version the volatility of use is reduced & the programme should "behave" normally. My limited tests on a stable version of PSI suggest everything is in working order.

I suspect what U are seeing is normal behaviour in that U are using an SPS install. If U have not noticed the detail on how these work it is here:

http://secunia.com/products/consumer/PSI/faq/#x2

What U have not told us is the end result.

Currently if U execute those links nothing appears to be happening. Having given them time to run silently are U suggesting that after a full PSI rescan those programmes are not showing in the scan result page as updated?

If you think that is absolute necessary, see:
psi.exe - version 2.0.0.3001
psi_tray.exe - version 2.0.0.3001
psia.exe - version 2.0.0.3001
sua.exe - version 1.0.0.5008

After all. I never use a beta version. More than, on some machines I've forced to use old PSI (psi.exe - version 1.5.0.2) that is still available on website, because PSI 2.0 has detected as installed some application that are not installed on that machine, but are installed on other machine in that local network.

I've also tried to download that 3 updates from the URL listed on previous post with several downloaders (IE 6 in windows, WGet in windows and linux) and in each try the download has same MD5 hash. So it is quite impossible to download same files on different machines from same URLs and obtain same MD5 hash and these files to be alterated by a download error. So I'll try to find them directly on adobe/sun, without contribution of Secunia.

In other words, something is wrong with all these 3 files on secunia web site. But what ???

Maybe these files didn't work on Windows XP SP3 (32-bit version) ?
