When Secunia runs its weekly scan this can have a noticeable impact on performance. As this is not a critical task and is occurring in the background it seems to me to make more sense that this disk IO be set as low/background priority on Vista and 7 machines. Where the user has initiated the scan it could be run at the normal level.

This would enable PSI to complete its task with less of an impact on the user's desktop experience.
