I'm running win 7 64 bit with all the latest patches. According to PSI 2.0 (after my 1st scan) Microsoft Uodate was "not found" on my pc. I looked under control panel and there was MS Update where it should be. I tried a scan for updates and it scanned and found none which should be right because it just found and updated some on 5/\9/12 @7:48 am. Any idea what's up with this? |

Hello. If the updates relate to .NET Framework, please see http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/126... If they do, you may wish to close this and add your comments there. If they don't, it will help for you to say what updates are 'missing'. -- taffy078, West Yorkshire, UK Desktop: Compaq Presario (OEM) 32 bit / AMD Athlon / 2 GB RAM XP Home - SP3/ IE8/ Norton IS - Secunia PSI v2.0.0.3003 Laptop: Win 7 / IE9 / PSI v2.0.0.3003 |

Actually it's saying that it can't find the Microsoft update program itself. The one that runs on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. The program is there. I checked, but PSI isn't seeing it for some reason. | ||||||||

U are correct - your problems is nothing to do with the thread U have been pointed to. For a start U are using Windows 7 & that problem appears confined to a few users of XP. I can understand that U have found the Windows Update icon in Control Panel & Windows update works from there. Can U explain a bit more about what U are expecting from PSI? Which version of PSI are U using? 2.0.0.4003 for example. What happens when U are scanning & it get to "Determining Missing Microsoft Patches" & "Waiting For Microsoft Security Patch Check"? Does that work OK? Are U expecting Windows Update to be present as a programme in the Scan Results Page? -- Maurice Windows 7 SP1 64 Bit OS HP Intel Pentium i7 IE 10 for Windows 7 16GB RAM |
