Just received a notification that this app has an update. I am not familiar with Python and do not recall ever installing it. I cannot find Python in Control Panel>Programs and Features. The PMI report says this is located in C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Temp\python27.dll. Why is this in a temp folder? Can I delete the folder to eliminate this app? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks |

I have EDITED my initial reply. See this thread: http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/127... I think U are safe to delete your file but maybe wiser to wait for a Secunia response. -- Maurice Windows 7 SP1 64 Bit OS HP Intel Pentium i7 IE 10 for Windows 7 16GB RAM |

I had this file created when I ran the Google Namebench program. I guess another similarly designed program using Python could have put it there. I wouldn't delete the folder itself but anything that puts itself in a temporary folder ought to expect to be deleted at some stage. Update: Running Disk Cleanup got rid of it. -- This answer is provided “as-is.” You bear the risk of using it. |

I ran the Windows 7 Disk Cleanup tool this morning and it removed it from the Temp folder, so all is well, I think. | ||||||||
