I have installed this update several times and every time I get the message that it has been correctly installed. It appears in my downloads (several times, as I have tried many times). But I keep getting the message that I have new updates to install and it is always this one.

Don't have an answer to this KB954430 but have the same problem. It has been going on for months. Shows up with the Secunia scan. Just can't seem to get it really installed and cleared from the scan and the yellow shield from my toolbar. Frank

1. Using Microsoft update hid KB 954430 so that it was not reoffered
while found a solution. Hid it because do not like turning off
automatic update. Turning off the Automatic update would give the same
result. Make sure you remember to turn it back on. :-)

2. Downloaded MSXML4-KB954430-enu.exe from:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang...

3. Deleted MSXML4-KB954430 using Add Remove program in control panel.

4. Installed MSXML4-KB954430-enu.exe by clicking on it.

KB954430 has not been reoffered ever since.
