My Billion 7300n firewall is setup to give me email alerts for any intrusion detections. PSI 2 works fine on my Win7 x64 system and doesn't appear to have any trouble getting through my firewall but i get dozens of email alerts similar to the following - Jul 5 02:01:05 HackAttack: [SPI:Illegal connection state attack] ICMP packer from [ppp0] 91.198.117.248 to xxx.xx.xx.xxx. I have tried adding PSI 2 details to the packet filtering parameters thinking that would specifically advise firewall that even though it is letting PSI through i did not need to be advised but that didn't work. I tried upgrading to PSI 3 but that didn't make any difference so have gone back to PSI 2. I don't want to disable the email alerts because then i won't be aware of any other alerts. How do i stop the intrusion detections please. If anybody could help me with this I would be very thankful. Mark |
