I happened to notice that a PSI popup on my laptop screen indicated that Adobe Flash Player 11.x (both ActiveX & NPAPI) were automatically updated. Out of curiosity I opened PSI to verify they had been updated and I noticed that neither had any entry posted in the Auto-Update history area for those apps. The information posted in this area says "No updates have yet been automatically installed ". I went to the directory where these are located (C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash and the files show the modified date of today, 07/11/2012. I am running PSI 2.0. Shouldn't PSI post auto-update information in this area? |

Are you sure it was PSI that performed the update and not the Flash Player Automatic Updater? I also had a changed program notification for Flash Player which I am sure was updated by the Adobe updater. Given that the Flash Player update to 11.3.300.265 does not contain any security updates, I would not expect PSI to try to install it. -- This answer is provided “as-is.” You bear the risk of using it. |

Not sure how to tell. |

Look in the Flashinstall.txt file in C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash. See if there is a reference to a Secunia file in the last install. I'm not sure if this is still true for PSI 3.0. -- This answer is provided “as-is.” You bear the risk of using it. |

I think that means it was most likely the Flash Updater that installed it. -- This answer is provided “as-is.” You bear the risk of using it. |
