When I try to publish a new package for Mozilla Firefox I receive the Error Message \"Failed to publish package\" (or similar). In the log file I find the message \"Zu viele lokal veröffentlichte Kategorien\". What\'s going wrong? Hi, Thank you for your email. If I understand correctly the error message that you are receiving is "Publishing operation failed too many locally published categories", right? WSUS has a limit to 100 locally published categories. Once you import many 3rd party updates then you might reach this limit. You should remove all unnecessary update package from Secunia CSI (decline and delete them) and then run a WSUS Cleanup. Afterwards you should be able to publish more packages. -- Kind Regards, Oana Marin Solution Specialist |

| Last edited on 11th Aug, 2012 10:09 | Thanks for the hint - deleting some older packages has helped in that situation. Nevertheless - is there a way to increase the WSUS limit for 100 locally published packages? That limitation is rather low if many different programs have to be kept actual... |

The maximum number of categories cannot be increased since it's a WSUS limitation but we are working on a way to group differently the information so that less categories are created. -- Kind Regards, Oana Marin Solution Specialist |
