Hello I have been experiencing a problem with Python 2.7 for a while now, I have installed the latest version and done a full system scan. The problem seems to still exist though. I have had a problem like this before but the friendly people on the forum helped and sorted it out. The following is the trouble shooting report from PSI: ---START--- Program Name: Python 2.7.x Security State: Insecure Download Link: http://www.python.org/getit/ Instances Found: C:\Users\Jack\Desktop\MCEdit-0.1.0-10-gbcf7.win32\ C:\Users\Jack\Desktop\MCEdit-0.1.0-10-gbcf7.win32\ C:\Users\Jack\Desktop\MCEdit-0.1.0-10-gbcf7.win32\ Last System Scan (localtime): 03. September 2012, 16:14 Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Windows 7 ---END--- Any help to sort this error out would be much appreciated! -- Jack42 |

I take it that you have version 2.7.3 installed? If that is the case do this: DELETING A FILE OR FOLDER VERSION 2 1. Open PSI>Scan results. 2. Against the programme marked as vulnerable is a + sign to the left of it. 3. Click that & it will reveal DETECTED INSTANCES. 4. Below that are two yellow folders. Click the one WITHOUT a red dot. 5. That will open Windows Explorer & U will be able to see the vulnerable files. C:\Users\Jack\Desktop\MCEdit-0.1.0-10-gbcf7.win C:\Users\Jack\Desktop\MCEdit-0.1.0-10-gbcf7.win32\ python27.dll, version: 2.7.2150.1013 C:\Users\Jack\Desktop\MCEdit-0.1.0-10-gbcf7.win32\ appdata\MCEdit-0.1.1.win32\python27.dll, version: 2.7.2150.1013 6. Right click on those files & select delete. 7. Carry out a full PSI scan & all should be in order. VERSION 3 Open PSI>once open select Show Programs. U will now see a page full of programme icons or a list. Right click on the icon that represents the programme in error>select Show Details - that will open a box showing the path & version number of the offending files. Double click on C:\Users\Jack\Desktop\MCEdit-0.1.0-10-gbcf7.win C:\Users\Jack\Desktop\MCEdit-0.1.0-10-gbcf7.win32\ python27.dll, version: 2.7.2150.1013 C:\Users\Jack\Desktop\MCEdit-0.1.0-10-gbcf7.win32\ appdata\MCEdit-0.1.1.win32\python27.dll, version: 2.7.2150.1013 That will open Windows Explorer & U will see those files. Right click on them & select delete. Run a full PSI scan & the problem should be resolved.
