Version 3.0 of Secunia PSI just continually displays the initial screen with loading.... but never gets past this. It does a scan and lets you know something needs updated but you can't get to anything to see the scan results. This is on Windows 7. -- Frustrated Non-Techie |

I have done everything that was suggested - including uninstall and reinstall - with no success and still have the problem - any other suggestions? -- Frustrated Non-Techie |

I tried both version 2 (which worked previously) but with no success - same thing - just hangs when it starts up. Any chance that a recent Windows update has done something to mess up Secunia PSI? Even version 3 worked fine til about 2-3 weeks ago (maybe a bit longer). Very frustrating. -- Frustrated Non-Techie |

@knahsjc Did you clear out temp.files/folders before trying a re-install? Have you checked update status etc., using Belarc Advisor ? It carries out a free pc audit.....you might be able to see from that if something is missing/awry............ http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html Have you tried running CHKDSK to verify consistancy.....whether any files have been orphaned etc.. ? I got the same problem, I tried everything in this tread, but still no luck. The problem began (I think) when I upgrade from Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 to v2013. I have uninstalled/reinstall secunia many times now, even uninstalled/reinstalled Kaspersky also.. I also tried running secunia with Kaspersky uninstalled. -- Win 7 sp1 64bit Firefox 15.01 |

I ran belarc but not sure what I am to look for. How do I initiate CHKDISK? Neither version 2 works when they worked previously. I am Windows 7, 64 bit. I will mention that both Secunia PSI and Iolo's System Mechanic stopped working at the same time, about 3 weeks ago. Otherwise, everything works fine on my computer. -- Frustrated Non-Techie |
