hi community! after uninstalling internet explorer 9 on windows 7 32bit today i cannot run psi. when i doubleclick the open Secunia PSI file i get the following message: Microsoft Visual C Runtine Library Runtime Error! Program: C:\Program Files\Secunia\PSI\psi.exe This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. Can you help me? Thank you!!! |

unfortunetly this doesnt help. i had secunia psi running on this laptop until i uninstalled ie9. so i have all requirements. is the only way to get psi.exe run again, install ie9? :( | ||||||||

The web page I gave to you states this Software Requirements The latest version of Microsoft Update. You can determine whether or not you are running the latest version by visitingupdate.microsoft.com with Microsoft Internet Explorer, Can you do that successfully with your current set up? -- Maurice Windows 7 SP1 64 Bit OS HP Intel Pentium i7 IE 10 for Windows 7 SP1 16GB RAM |

hi maurice, yes. everything is up to date. i did a avira premium virus scan. everything is fine. the last update i did today: it was the update for Microsoft Security Essentials. thank you for your help! |

Thank you - try a reinstall of PSI using the link to the version you want below my Signature Block. Click the link & then let the install run. It will auto uninstall the "old" & install the "new". You just select the version of PSI you are comfortable using. Is there a reason that you have "uninstalled" IE9? What method did you use to remove it? -- Maurice Windows 7 SP1 64 Bit OS HP Intel Pentium i7 IE 10 for Windows 7 SP1 16GB RAM |

i uninstalled ie because i don't use and need it and it had this serious security problem. so i thougt "why keep it?". i uninstalled via the updates. i went to "installed updates" and removed it there. thanks! |

Thank you - that action should have rolled it back to IE8 Using Windows Explorer can you please check if any version of IE is installed. I would contact Secunia Support at support@secunia.com. Maybe they can shed some light on your error message when using their programmef Microsoft Visual C Runtine Library Runtime Error!
