Secunia PSI 3.0.0.3001 on Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit

This is the second day that Secunia PSI alerts me that a program needs manual updating: Adobe Flash Player NPAPI. However, when I click on it to update, the installer tells me that "the version you are trying to install is not the must current one".

My currently installed Flash Player version (both ActiveX and plugin, in both system32 and syswow64) is 11.4.402.278; so why is PSI telling me that it needs to be updated? There is no newer Flash Player version available, except 11.5 beta.

What file path does PSI give you?

Open PSI>once open select Show Programs.
U will now see a page full of programme icons or a list.
Right click on the programme in error>select Show Details - that will open a box showing the path & version number of the offending file.
U now have 2 options:
1. Write down the exact file path & install version - return to the Forum & type that information.
2. Take a screen shot & publish that.

Thank you very much for your reply; all is clear now.

PSI does not point to the installed Flash Player, but to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\APE\3.201\NPSWF32.dll (version 11.0.1.127), which is part of Adobe CS6.

I will check with the Adobe support forums how to update that file to the latest version.

Thank you again; this issue is resolved for me.
