Secunia tells me that ASUS Live Update 1.x is not supported and that I should contact ASUS. ASUS replied: "I'd suggest you contact the maker of this software as Asus Update is still available for this model and we still provide support for it. The newest version can be found on the following website. http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en... " Michiel |

As I am quite new to this product, I am unsure if my reading is correct. I understand that according to the advisory the conclusion that the product is not supported is false. But according to the software,.... Quote from PSI: Program is no longer supported ASUS Live Update 1.x This program is no longer supported by the supplier. We suggest you contact the supplier for an update. AS I get automatic updates from ASUS pushed to my system, I am worried. But a PSI fix (if my reading is correct) would be nice. Michiel |

From the reading of :- Most Critical Unpatched There are no unpatched Secunia advisories affecting this product, when all vendor patches are applied.. In other words...the Advisory is saying that if all patches are applied.....the product is secure. From a quick Googlesearch it seems that the product is very old.....Secunia informing you that it is End of Life and no longer supported by the vendor ( Asus) seems unsurprising. That all said, if you have the last fully patched version.....you would seem still safe to continue using it...if it's still doing it's job. Someone else on the forum may have more info/experience with regard to.....meantime, hope the foregoing helps.........regards....... -- |

Having read this thread we have tried to locate a download page for ASUS Live Update 1.x but so far without success. As you will notice, ASUS Live Update is not even mentioned on the page provided by ASUS support. |

Thank you for the link Maurice. It appears that ASUS Live Update 1.x is indeed still supported and we have now changed our version rules accordingly. The program should no longer be detected as unsupported. |
