Ran Secunia this morning and it shows Oracle Java JRE 1.7.x/7.x and Sun Java JRE 1.6.x/6.x are updating but nothing happens. What should I do?

Is there a reason for you running two versions of Oracle JAVA?

What I would do is:

Uninstall all variants you find in Control Panel>add/remove which could be named JAVA(TM),JRE,JSE,JVM or JDK.

Now install Oracle JAVA from here:

http://java.com/en/download/ie_manual.jsp?locale=e...

EDIT

Perhaps worth mentioning that Oracle & Sun are the same Company - Oracle brought out Sun some time ago

Hi Pat,
You don't mention what version of secunia you have on your system.
(However). If you have any version of 2.0 installed. Please do the following instuctions to see if this solves your issue.
1. Open secunia.
2. Click on Configuration to open up a drop down menu of choices.
3. Click on Settings.
4. In the PSI Settings Tab. Uncheck the setting of: (Prompt before running automatic program updates).
5. Close Secunia PSI.
6. Re-Open Secunia PSI.
7. Do a full scan to see if secunia finishes installing your java updates in question.

If you have version 3.0 on your computer (which I think comes with automatic program updating on by default). Uninstall that version. Reboot your PC. Then reinstall any version of 2.0. Then set up that version the same as mentioned above. Then run a PSI Full scan.
Hope this solves your issue.

Regards,
Steve
