I have two Windows 7 machines and one of them had the red icon in the system tray so I tried to open it. Nothing for 10 minutes. I rebooted that machine and my own machine and tried to open Secunia PSI 3.0. No go even after I came back from shopping, which means 45 minutes. Something is wrong and I don't think it is my machines. |

My PSI is also out of order, did work normally yesterday night | ||||||||

Same here. It either does not even start the scan, or hangs just before the end of the scan, or goes into a loop and keeps telling you to scan again and again.. I have uninstalled and re-installed PSI several times with no improvement. | ||||||||

I have just tested PSI versions 2.0.0.3003,2.0.0.4003 & 3.0.0.4001 on my test PC's. Both versions of 2 are working correctly but slower than normal. Version 3.0.0.4001 is stuck at "Retrieving results from the server". Given that I have not made any alteration to my test PC since the last successful scan I assume there is something wrong with the Secunia Servers. There were issues tonight from the server with this Forum. Perhaps best to break out a bottle of wine & Cuban cigar until Support return tomorrow. Pleased to see you are all fixed up. On that basis, I will lock this thread for U sometime tomorrow unless U post back asking for it to be left open. I've experienced the exact same problem. S PSI3.0 hangs interminably when asked to scan without supplying any results. This is a new problem. I've tried un- and reinstalling without effect. -- Aminadab |

The problem may come from Secunia's PSI server not being correctly identified by your DNS server. You can try to solve this problem by resetting your network adapter or Internet connection so as to use Google's DNS servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 or try to reset your connection TCP/IP v.4 to use an automatic DNS server configuration. | ||||||||
