hi all again!
I asked a question here http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/134... but the theme is closed, so I have to ask the question again.

As I understand, the list of advisories provides the list of detected software. Does it mean that Secunia is able to provide security patches for all software there? (not only detects programs on my PC)

@cmexx

The advisories disclose the vulnerabilities that Secunia has found in the monitored products.
If a patch/solution is available; that is shown in the Advisory.
If you cannot find a product in the list of Advisories.....you can suggest it for monitoring within psi.....Suggest a Program feature.

I hope the explanation is of help........regards.

some programs from Advisory - for example http://secunia.com/advisories/product/24838/ don't contain any links about vendor or vulnerability. what is the purpose of it?

The following statement is taken from the link/example Advisory you provided :-
Most Critical Unpatched
There are no unpatched Secunia advisories affecting this product, when all vendor patches are applied.

In other words......a fully patched instance of the program has no vulnerability.

The Advisory therefore gives you infomation as to how secure the program is.

Hope it helps.........regards.........

Secunia does not provide patches itself. All the patches come from the software manufacturers. If possible, PSI will download the patch for you and install it when you set automatic updates on. Otherwise, you will be provided with a link to the manufacturer's website where you can install the update yourself.

Ok, the list of automatically updated software is not available?

I'm not aware of such a list.
PSI 2.0 flags programs which can be automatically updated with (AU) in the 'Install Solution' column of the Scan Results window.
