We use Secunia to publish updates to WSUS where we then download and deploy them using SCCM 2012. We are able to download Microsoft updates into SCCM from WSUS, but we get an error when we attempt to download Secunia generated updates:

Error: There was an error downloading the software update (404)

I've re-pushed the certificates from the CSI console, still no luck.

Any help and guidance is appreciated!

Hi,

In the event of re-generating your certificate, have you also re-generated / modified your WSUS-GPO policy to include and further distribute the new certificate you created?

If you setup the GPO to include the new certificate, then could you check if the GPO scope covers your SCCM system?

After some more investigation, it appears that the package never made it fully to WSUS.

I tried your suggestion, as well as reinstalling the CSI console. I am now getting a different error, "Failed to publish package."

In the log I have the following error:

[12/05 13:11:43.884] Failed to create package: : -2147352567 , In 'UpdateServer.invoke'
Code: -2146233079
Publishing operation failed because the console and remote server versions do not match.

I've tried installing the updates listed in this thread

but no luck.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

I was able resolve the error by installing this patch on both the Secunia workstation and the WSUS server:
