Secunia found a vulnerability in a Plug-in to Foxit Reader - see http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/137...

The then-current version of Foxit Reader v5.4.3.920 was replaced by v5.4.5.114.

However, some users (myself included) were experiencing problems installing this, with 100% CPU and a hung PC being caused by CheckPip.exe. (This didn't affect the add-ons, which updated normally.)

For the past week or so, I have been in touch with Foxit about it and have been trying various solutions that they proposed.

Today, they have told me that they have just released v5.4.5.0124 which has solved the problem. I've alerted Secunia Support to it and am sure that their technical team will pick this up through their normal channels so that they can correct the current update link in 'Scan Results'.

PS Apologies but I couldn't post this in 'Programs' because of the length of time it was taking for manufacturer etc to poulate. Could someone move it there for me please?
