Hi guys!

I recently installed PSI again to see well it would do on my laptop. It runs a little slow, but otherwise fine - except for one issue I'm having. Because the recent Opera 12.13 update had those reported crash issues, I didn't install it and also didn't allow PSI to do so. Now that the 12.14 fix is out, I manually installed that, because PSI would insist on installing 12.13 first.
But now PSI still tells me that the previous version (12.12) is installed and wants to upgrade to 12.13, when really 12.14 is already there. It does re-check the version, but always comes up with 12.12, which is not correct.

Maybe you want to look into the issue. It's really no big problem, but I thought the ability to correctly determine the version of any installed program was the whole idea behind PSI.

@Curunir

I just downloaded Opera 12.14....and then ran a full psi (2.0.0.3003 ) scan. Opera is showing correctly.
It therefore seems very likely that you have an older version/file which is being detected...that needs be removed.

Of course this problem will not occur on a clean install. To reproduce it, you'd have to install Opera 12.12, wait for PSI to detect that 12.13 is available an then manually install 12.14. Since the Opera update servers should serve 12.14 exclusively by now, reproducing it should be quite hard.
PSI should have an option to manually force full re-detection of a single application. If it has, I didn't find it yet.

The point is, I think, that psi is detecting other files......whereas you rightly point out that I installed Opera cleanly......it seems what you are experiencing, is that Opera does not clear out the older files/version at update.......just like Chrome.....the previous has to be removed manually each time.
