It is not showing on xSI.

What path does PSI give you?

Are you sure it is not part of Peggle?

I uninstalled it before I posted, Maurice. I now realise that was silly - had I left it there, I could have contacted WinPatrol.

Peggle, for uninitiated, is part of the HPGames programs. I assume that it is OEM i.e. came already installed. But the Magic Desktop, as you say, has never before appeared on the xSI lists. Strange!

I would hope Win Patrol would leave it alone. It is a widely used legitimate programme for use by children with some nice parental controls.

You should be looking for a programme that you have downloaded recently that bundled that programme or it may have just been added to the Secunia database & it has just picked it up on your PC.

CNet & Softpedia are known bundlers - have you been there?

@ Maurice: I don't need the program - no kids here!
WinPatrol always tells me if a new program is to be installed and asks my permission to allow it and I don't use CNET and can't recall visiting Softpedia.

@ mogs: and you know the worst thing? I tidied up my PCs this morning so all temporary internet files and search histories have been binned.

Bit late for 'ghosties and ghoulies' isn't it, mogs? Isn't that in November (Halloween)?

Anyroad, as we say in the North of England:

@Maurice: Yes, I remember now - I did visit softpedia regarding the Blaster Nachi program (my email to you dated 16 January 2013, 17:30). So perhaps that was it.

@ Maurice: I forgot to add that I checked in Programs before I posted and this program isn't there nor is Easybits.

(EASY SOFTWARE and MAGIC JELLY BEAN*** were the nearest I could find.)

I also checked Advisories by Vendor with no success. I had to give up search by product because the 3000+ list took too long to appear.

*** these your favourites, mogs? ;o)
