This combines two different threads from December, speaking to a problem that still hasn't been fixed. Every week or so for the past few months, PSI (1.0.0.3) switches from showing the latest Adobe Acrobat 8.x and VLC Player 0.9.8a as being Secure to being Insecure. Merely rescanning each changes them back to Secure. This appears to be a bug in PSI in one way or another, which started only with 1.0.0.3 (I've been using PSI since RC1). I know from the other threads that I'm not alone in seeing this. I have to wonder if this problem is being taken seriously, either via a fix or by asking some of us who are experiencing it for more details (other apps, etc.). Bottom line, when is it going to be fixed? Thanks. XP/SP3 |

For Adobe Reader, there is a very recent security-related update. But VLC Player was fixed a long time ago, and AFAIK, there have been no new security issues with VLC Player. That one is probably just a bug in the Secunia database. -- Bob -- -- -- Bob -- |

There are a few threads now about new zero-day vulnerabilites and how there isn't a fix from Adobe yet.
