A PSI scan says Symantec Windows LiveUpdate 1.x is a program which needs updating. When I <Click to update>, a browser tab opens to us.norton.com. This website page is quite general and (in this context) quite useless.

LiveUpdate has run in the last few minutes, since the scan, and should update itself when appropriate. Searching the symantec/norton website for updates to LiveUpdate finds nothing. LiveUpdate is not a standalone product; it's bundled with Norton Internet Security (which I have) and probably everything else sold by Symantec/Norton.

What's up? What do I do?

Thank you.

If not I recommend you contact Symantec and ask them for the correct download link.

Checking http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/files/lu/lu.html was very helpful. The LiveUpdate used by Norton Internet Security 2013 (and back several years) is integrated with those products. The LiveUpdate diagnosed as needing update is used only by old products. When I downloaded an update as indicated by the page and re-ran the PSI scan, the claim that LiveUpdate needs updating was gone.

Thank you.
