On a Windows Server 2012, xSI is reporting that Flash Player:
Version 11.3.372.94 (IE10)
Installed in:
C:\Windows\WinSxS\amd64_adobe-flash-for-windows_31 bf3856ad364e35_6.2.9200.16384_none_84698b6af353c9c 0\Flash.ocx

.. needs an update, "Use Microsoft Update".

It references Advisory 53419, https://secunia.com/advisories/53419

But Microsoft Update does not find any available patches to this system.

I see threads discussing Flash Player being stuck at 11.3, going back months, but all of them seem to suggest that after the retail release of the Windows 8 / Windows Server 2012 Operating Systems these Flash versions began to be updated by Windows Update.

Anyone have an idea whether xSI is reporting accurately in this case? And if so, how to get a mysteriously missing update from a clean new properly Activated Windows Server 2012 to appear?

thanks,
-Jay

Have you already tried a restart of the computer and then a rescan with Microsoft Update? That would be the first step to try.

However, please note that Windows Server 2012 is not a supported operating system for the PSI.

I have no personal experience with installing the PSI on a server so it is hard for me to say if that could influence the scan results and cause an issue such as what you describe.

If someone else on the community have experience using the PSI in a server environment, then perhaps they can assist.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
Yes, I've restarted and re-run the Windows Update scan more than once.

Also, thanks for clarifying; of course, PSI/xSI is targeted for home users, and only rather strange home users like me run Windows Server 2012 :-)

Seems like you've run into a similar issue as described here:
