So, the Adobe Flash Player ActiveX version is not detected yet again after updating to 11.7.700.224.

Hoping for a permanent fix to this problem soon. ;-)

I have tried to recreate the issue on a Windows 7 using PSI 3. Adobe Flash Player (ActiveX) version 11.7.700.224 was correctly detected.

Are you still having this issue? If so, are you using the PSI, and which version? What operating system do you use?

I have updated 8 PC's - Windows 8 64 Bit (via Windows Update) - Windows 7 (32 & 64 Bit) Windows XP SP3 manually via the Adobe Site & all showed & continue to show correctly on PSI V 2.0.0.3003, V 2.0.0.4003, V 3.0.0.7009 & the SMB Console.

A full PSI rescan was required to populate the Results Page.

Hope this helps.

EDIT:
Have added a screenshot of the 64 Bit Output on SMB which looks OK to me.

Hi guys,

Yes I am still having this issue on two W7 x64 SP1 machines. PSI version is 2.0.0.4003.

I doubt it makes a difference, but I always run the Flash Player Uninstaller before manually downloading the new versions. The Firefox plug-in version is detected.

Odd that I'm the only one though.

Thanks,

ManFromOz

Something odd going on.

I have just fired up my Window 7 PC using PSI version 2.0.0.4003 & ran 2 scans to recheck your findings.

Adobe Flash has disappeared!!!

It still shows on PSI V 3.0.0.7009 which I have also just checked.

Using the Adobe uninstaller should not cause any hassles. Provided the correct files are in Windows Explorer it should populate PSI.

Thanks for confirming my findings. :-)

I always let Flash Player install where it wants and I followed the path in your image and that is where it's located on my machines.

Cheers.

Testing with PSI 2 enabled me to recreate the issue. We have now adjusted our detection rule for the latest version of Adobe Flash Player 11.x. So please rescan and report back if any detection issues are still present.
