I'm running Secunia PSI 2.0.0.3003 on a Win Vista machine. Yesterday Secunia ran it's regularly scheduled weekly scan. There was 1 program that needed to update: Firefox. I "installed" the solution but Secunia is stalled on "waiting for update to complete." it's been that way for almost 24 hours.

Any suggestions?

Update: I have restarted my PC and ran PSI again and it now says it is "Determining Auto-Update State" of the Mozilla Firefox 21.x program. I have twice reinstalled the Firefox update and have version 22.0 installed.

The version 21 Firefox program resides in: C:\Windows\erdnt\cache\firefox.exe. Can I just delete this file?

Yes....if you delete the old version/file....psi can't detect and try to update. It's the same with a few progs....they leave behind the previous. Before psi auto-updates....the program would still be detected, but there wasn't the problem of it always trying update.

All right. I'll delete it.
