I have Secunia PSI 1.0.0.3 on Vista Home Premium

My scan showed the following threats:

- Macromedia Flash Player 8.x
- Adobe Flash Player 10.x
- Adobe Flash Player 9.x

My intention was to delete all three programs. So the next time that I visited a web page that required one of these programs, I could do the update when requested.

I deleted Adobe Flash Player 10.x using the Control Panel.

I could not find the other two programs in the list.

A re-scan showed that these two programs still remain as threats.

Can anyone advise me how to delete these programs?
.

Hi

Try to use Adobes Flash uninstaller, they recommend it when updating to a newer version.

Then go and download the newest Flash Player from their site!

Thanks to Maurice and Underlien.

I downloaded the uninstaller. That removed Macromedia Flash Player 8.x.

I still have Adobe Flash Player 9.x.

The path is c:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe AIR\Versions\1.0\NPSWF32.dll

I can see the file in its folder. Shall I delete it manually?

(I used the uninstaller followed by re-scan. Then repeated that pair of actions several times.)

I would delete it manually - reboot - rescan with PSI and then install the new Flash from here:

Good - The secret is to always use the Adobe uninstaller each time U update Flash and not Add/remove which Adobe no longer support.
