After updating Flash Player the ActiveX version is not detected in PSI 2 again.

Thanks.

Interesting. Is Flash not showing at all or is it showing the older version?

I ask because all my Flash updates on various PC's are showing perfectly.

Hi Maurice,

Since updating to 11.8.800.94 the ActiveX version is not detected at all, however the Firefox plugin version is.

Thank you. All my results come from using PSI version 3.0.0.7011. Looks like Secunia Support need to do some adjusting to allow it to show on all variants of PSI.

Hopefully they will respond shortly for you.

Some adjustment of our detection rules was indeed needed. Please rescan and let us know if the issue should persist.

Hi,

Thanks for your rapid reply.

I've just completed a full system scan but unfortunately Adobe Flash Player ActiveX version 11.8.800.94 is still not detected by PSI 2.0.0.4003 on my W7 x64 SP1 system.

Regards,

ManFromOz

Adobe Active X Flash still is not showing on PSI Version 2 and I just ran the scan. My computer is Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit with all Microsoft updates.

Currently, we are unable to reproduce this issue. We have tried on several different versions of Windows and used both PSI 3 and 2, including PSI 2.0.0.3001 and PSI 2.0.0.4003. Adobe Flash Player 11.8.800.94 (ActiveX) continues to get correctly detected on our test systems.

Perhaps a reinstall of Adobe Flash Player is worth a try. If that does not fix it you are welcome to send us a software suggestion so we can verify that our detection rules are correct. The FAQ describes the procedure.

I have already suggested the program and it is still not detected on my two machines. I uninstalled the previous version using the uninstaller before installing the current version.

Thanks.

I too am experiencing this very same issue with the ax version of Flash 11.8.800.94. I hope you can fix this because, I would rather uninstall PSI version 2 and manually hunt down patches rather to install PSI version 3. In my opinion, a program that downloads and installs patches automatically is the last thing a Windows based PC needs in today's threat landscape.

Thanks...

After some experimenting I have found that after uninstalling / reinstalling Adobe Flash Player ActiveX version is detected, however after a manual scan it disappears again. I don't see how this could be problem with my systems.

This site is incredibly slow by the way.

FYI
No problems with 1.5.0.2 detection of AFP v11.8.800.94
ActiveX or NPAPI-carry on.

I just ran another scan and Active X is now showing up--let's hope it lasts.

Thanks for the tip, Mynah Bird. I hope so to. ;)

After reading your post I reluctantly scanned again and sure enough, the program is still detected. I'll keep this thread open for a while in case there are any more issues.

Thanks again.

ManfromOz.
