We have an environment where we are using Secunia CSI6 Console on Windows 8 and WSUS / SCCM2012SP1 combo on Windows Server 2012.

I have already exported certificate and published it to Domain.

Following are the issues we are facing.

1. It says that WSUS is configured but in step 3 Group Policy Status it displays error that Group Policy could not be created. Please Check Secunia FAQs.

2. Not all packages are visible in SCCM SUP.

3. In WCM.log of SCCM, it shows error this error - Category Company:e710afcd-4a70-88db-18b3-74760ea36cf5 (Secunia) not found on WSUS.

4. SMS_WSUS_CONFIGURATION_MANAGER 6603 WSUS Configuration Manager failed to subscribe to update categories and classifications on WSUS Server "sccm.domain.com". Possible cause: WSUS Server version 3.0 SP2 or above is not installed or cannot be contacted. Solution: Verify that the WSUS Server version 3.0 SP2 or greater is installed. Verify that the IIS ports configured in the site are same as those configured on the WSUS IIS website. Though I have verified that both has same ports ie 8530 and 8531.

5.SMS_WSUS_SYNC_MANAGER 6703 WSUS Synchronization failed. Message: WSUS server not configured. Please refer to WCM.log for configuration error details.. Source: CWSyncMgr::DoSync. The operating system reported error 2147500037: Unspecified error

The issue is I am unable to create any deployment for secunia Packages.

Please Help.

Thanks,

Irfan

Hi,

Below we posted some simple troubleshooting steps for you to follow.
Please check if those resolve the problems you reported to us.

> 1. It says that WSUS is configured but in step 3 Group Policy Status it displays error that
> Group Policy could not be created. Please Check Secunia FAQs.

Please go to your Primary Domain Controller for your part of the network and check if you see the CSI-WSUS Group Policy Object within your Group Policy Management Console tree. By default it should be listed at the top-domain level, or eventually you can find it under Group Policy Objects default container. If the policy is there, please disregard the message you received within the Secunia CSI interface.

2. Not all packages are visible in SCCM SUP.

Please open the SCCM Management console and navigate to Administration | Site Configuration | Sites | right-click on the primary site name | select Configure Site Components | Software Update Point | Products tab. Please review all vendors in the list and make sure you tick the checkbox for all third-party vendors listed. After doing that, please go back to Software Library and run another synchronization of the SCCM content. This shall display the missing packages.

I assume that the steps I listed for you will also resolve the errors you reported in point 3, 4, and 5. Should there be remaining problems, I will kindly recommend you to report them to csc@secunia.com where we could assign a support specialist to troubleshoot the issues alongside with you.

Kind Regards | Stay Secure
