Hi,

We are to day using CSI 6.0.x, and are still on year 1 of 3 on our agreement. Do we have the right to upgrade to CSI 7.0?

I'm sorry, but I cant find that information.

That is an interesting situation, called their support to get the download link for version 7, but was told that I had to talk to our sales representative to verify that I had the upgrade rights. Go figure... I looked at my 4-year invoice from november 2011 and found the terms and condition link...

In the terms and conditions at https://ca.secunia.com/terms_and_conditions/Secuni... they state that the license we buy is for "use the version of the Software specified in the Agreement, and any minor upgrade to it supplied under the Agreement".

So Secunia sell the product in several years contracts without the right to use the newest version, that is so non-standard IT world as it can be...

I do look forward to talk to my sales representative ;-) I wont be happy to be stuck with Secunia 5.0 for two more years.

Talked to my Account Manager the other day.... Terms are correct, you do not have right to upgrade to newer version, you are stuck with the version you sign up for.

I got an offer for upgrade to version 7. I have two years remaining on my version 5 contract and that gives a discount, not exactly the right percentages, but a discount. They offer me a new 3-year contract for version 7 at 80% of the price I paid for my 4 year version 5 contract.

My Account Manager says they will change that "stay at the version you buy" policy, but terms for version 7 on the website has not changed yet.

We shall stay at version 5, and probably stop using the product after the contract expires.
