For some strange reason the Active X version of Adobe Flash Player is not detected on one of my W7 machines, but the latest version, 11.8.800.175 is detected on the other.

What do I do now?

Uninstalling then reinstalling seems to of done the trick.

Seriously though, what has happened to a once great program? While I certainly appreciate what Secunia are trying to do and that they offer this service for free, it appears that PSI is slowly becoming less reliable, the servers harder to reach. It is almost getting to the point where I can no longer recommend Secunia PSI. Such a shame too. :(

Hi ManFromOz, it's sad but I have to agree with you that these much too long existing server issues are badly affecting the use of PSI. Ans not PSI alone, the forum is a victim too: very long responsetimes make me wasting mucht time to post here. I hope we now get more and clear info about this situation and that it will be solved definately shortly.

Hi LeendertKip,

Yes, I've also noticed that the Forums slow to a snail's pace too often as well. I could be wrong, but it seems to me that when the Forums are slow so is PSI at reaching the servers.

My Active X Flash Player has gone missing again from my Windows 7 computer after appearing briefly this week. Secunia seems to be having an ongoing problem with this program since Adobe started issuing patches on Microsoft's Patch Tuesday date. I hope Secunia can come up with a permanent fix so this program isn't here today, gone tomorrow as has been the case lately.

I also agree that both Secunia and its forum have been incredibly slow quite a bit of the time recently. I've started wondering at what point I'll just give up on Secunia completely. I'm not there yet, but . . .

It appears that Adobe have again changed the file names used for their flash player. I believe we have now been able to add the new file names to our database. So please rescan with the PSI and report back if you are still experiencing any issues.

Yes, after rescanning, Adobe Flash Player ActiveX version is now detected.

Thank you.
