Hi.

(1) Just got back from two weeks holiday to find a typical in-box (namely Microsoft botches, Java security warnings - again) but there was also an email said to be from ADOBE regarding a security breach and the need to change your log-in and password.

A quick look on Adobe's home page
(http://helpx.adobe.com/uk/x-productkb/policy-prici...)
showed the email was genuine but a quick search showed that many users, instead of going to Adobe's site, had posted on their forums asking if it was genuine or phishing. Some replies actually advised them to ignore the email as it was clearly phishing!

A quick look here showed no security issues nor threads about the email - well done all!

(2) Re the IE foul-up, there were 18 updates from Microsoft for my XP desktop but none for my Win7 laptop.
Am I missing something?

Adobe and others have been hacked - this refers.

If you have received a message from Adobe to change your members password you should do it.

There are up to 28 patches for Windows 7 - depends what you have installed as some are for Office.
