Try another full PSI rescan.

.NET Framework should be 2.0.50727.5474.

If it remains insecure run a manual Windows update scan using the Custom option. You may find that some of the updates required are hiding as optional updates.

Notifying the user of the "wrong" version of XP installed is a known issue but it does not affect the output of the programmes installed.

Thank you Maurice, sorry I was late in a reply.
(lost my password and reset it).......
But I have done 2 manual scans so far and the "missing" updates seem to be installed, or accepted as installed by M/soft update area.
If I continue it still lists the same updates are required ?

I will perform a third manual scan and accept all Extra Updates offered from M/soft

Thanks for on-going support on this site.

Hello again Maurice .....
Sorry for not responding earlier. Personal problems.

I have re-scanned Twice - allowed All extra updates - and no change.
The Yellow Update icon is still there and I am asked to install on every shut-down.
PSI shows 96% and remains Orange (Java is updated)

My Windows 7, on the same connection is 100% and has not altered.

Thank You -

I have run the linked "solution" Rebooted and Rescanned with PSI
Current readings have not changed, 96%PSI reading
Still - At least 3 missing (uninstalled?) M/soft updates -
I have even attempted to install them again (installed as usual) ..........

Thank You for your patience.

Thank you for the update. Looks like the conventional fixes are not working. This should help you further.

http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2008/03/0...

I have used it with great success on numerous PC's. Best to follow his advice to the letter.

5.Download and install the version of the .NET Framework that you cleaned up

To follow this step (as I have 3 problems showing) do I remove all and then restore all.
Or option 2 do I use 1 at a time and then see the results ?

Thanks - I will check back

I assume you have tried item 1 & that did not work in that PSI still gives a warning message?

If that was the case did you then complete item 2 by downloading repair tool from here:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.as...

If that also fails to correct the issue then go to Control Panel>add/remove & uninstall all the affected versions in the order 4/3/2.

Is that the information you are requesting?

Pleased to see you are all fixed up.

On that basis, I will lock this thread for U sometime tomorrow unless U post back asking for it to be left open.

This will protect your mail box from possible update emails from "tag on" posts

You can of course lock threads U have created. Just click the ACCEPT button in the post of the helper who offered U the best solution/advice to solve your problem.

Secunia Support can always reopen threads by applying by email to: support@secunia.com

EDIT To save more grief I would advise you read this thread if you have the urge to update PSI.
