Hi babbaleo,

Some PSI users, me included, discovered and reported that the latest version of PSI causes some problems. I do not understand the log but guess that you have the same problem. Did you see this when PSI opens?

'Stop running this script? A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly. If it contines to run, your computer might become unresponsive'.

Because of this I reverted to v. 30.0.0.7011 which runs fine on my pc and laptop.

From the log it looks like you are using IE 11 Pre release.

Secunia do not officially support that version of IE nor any other programme in ALPHA or BETA.You should expect such programmes to be buggy & forward any findings to Microsoft.

That said all that the latest version does is add the Arabic language.

On that basis if you want to revert back to 3.0.0.7011 a safe link is here if you have not got a copy.

Simply put Secunia PSI v.3.0.0.8013 crashes on Windows 8.1 64-bit final release available since October 17, 2013 while Secunia PSI v.3.0.0.7011 runs just fine, as the good doctor ordered. This has nothing to do with ALPHA or BETA versions of Internet Explorer.

first i couldn't see this good Reply, since some people voted it down and it did hide here.

Well it is correct. Windows 8.1 64-bit final and Opening secunia psi. It throws this error!

Numerous other threads have been created on problems with PSI version 8.0.0.8013.

In a nutshell a tried & tested solution is here until Secunia respond.

https://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/14...

If that solution is not to your liking I would contact Secunia Support direct at support@secunia.com particularly if using Windows 8.1 or IE11 (in whatever flavour) because neither are currently shown as supported.
