Hello everyone, i am a new member French, but i have a problem with Secunia PSI

[PRODUCT] : Secunia PSI

[PRODUCT VERSION] : 3.0.0.9015

[OPERATING SYSTEM] : Windows XP SP3 (32 bits)

[DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM] : Windows Internet Explorer

Secunia PSI uses JAVA ? true or false ?

It is possible in future versions that Secunia PSI uses Mozilla Firefox ?

You need to check your setting against the FAQ here:

PSI does not use JAVA.

Your default browser can be Firefox & PSI will work.

Vous devez vérifier votre réglage contre la FAQ ici :

PSI n'utilise pas JAVA.

Votre navigateur par défaut peut être que Firefox & lb/po2 fonctionnera.

Hello thank you, but i have always this problem.

I wait other version of PSI (May be Version 4.0 ^^) with Mozilla Firefox not IE

PSI is for Firefox & any other third party browser all of which can set as a default browser.

You must be logged on as an administrator. Certain functions require IE as can be seen here:

Now check the FAQ to set up Firefox correctly & it should work.

Hello Maurice Joyce,

"The list of requirements that must be met for the Secunia PSI to function correctly are:"
Supported Operating Systems (32 & 64 bit):
Microsoft Windows 8
Microsoft Windows 7
Microsoft Windows Vista SP 1 or later
Microsoft Windows XP - SP 3 =} Ok

Privileges
To install and run the Secunia PSI you require administrative privileges. =} Ok

Software Requirements
Windows Update The latest version of Microsoft Update. =} Ok"

And now the FAQ :
1. Open the control panel.
2. Open Internet Options > Security tab. In Windows7/Vista you may need to click Network and Internet to access the Internet Options.
3. Select the Internet zone and click Custom Level.
4. In Security Settings, go to the Scripting > Active Scripting option.

=} I have Internet Explorer 8 but i have not this option : "Active Scripting"

7. Back in the Security tab, select the Trusted Sites zone and click Sites.
8 .Type in the following and click Add to add it to the Trusted Sites list: https://*.secunia.com.

Secunia PSI 3.0 for Windows XP (32 bits) = problem script

Secunia PSI 2.0 for Windows XP (32 bits) = no problem

Now i use PSI 2.0 :)

Pleased to see you are all fixed up.

On that basis, I will lock this thread for U sometime tomorrow unless U post back asking for it to be left open.

This will protect your mail box from possible update emails from "tag on" posts
