Hi all,

As many of you have noticed, lately there have been issues with the newest versions of the Secunia PSI: the Secunia PSI 3.0.0.8013 and Secunia PSI 3.0.0.9015.
The issue caused the Secunia PSI to crash when Internet Explorer 11 was installed on a system, even if IE 11 was not the default browser.

We are happy to report that we have now fixed the issue:

The solution means that you don't have to install a new version, but can simply use the newest version, the Secunia PSI 3.0.0.9015
http://secunia.com/PSISetup.exe

The Secunia PSI 3.0.0.9015 now works regardless of which version of Internet Explorer or Microsoft Operating System you have installed on your PC.

We appreciate all the information and suggestions you have provided on this issue, and apologize for the inconvenience.

Stay Secure

Tried & tested & it works.

1. Any chance of updating the System Requirement making it clear to users that Secunia now supports Windows 8.1 & by default IE11.

2. I note the SMB invitation is still downloading version 3.0.0.7011 - is there a reason for this?

The secondary invitation does indeed point to 3.0.0.9015.

Hi Maurice,

Thank you as always for your commitment in improving our products, we really appreciate it!

I've forwarded your questions to our product management.

The Small Business will be update to provide the same version of the Secunia PSI, regardless of the link used.

They would also have a closer look at the system requirement page and will update accordingly.

Thank you.

Not sure I understand this.

The Small Business will be update to provide the same version of the Secunia PSI, regardless of the link used.

If you are suggesting that both links will update to 9015 then there is something wrong with the Programme properties & the About feature in the Tasktray icon.

The invitation download link to SMB records this data (I have removed some of the ID for privacy reasons):

https://1ncuig.bn1.livefilestore.com/y2p9a6dVVmEuA...

CRC32: 9F8FD398
MD5: 8031D5AE7FAA7AAF22873E4044ECA77F
SHA-1: 2E17DEBA72FD5B48311524EB925646BEC83B56C6

The installer properties, Task tray Icon About feature, File Hashes & the download size of 3.12 MB all point to 3.0.0.7011.

Hi again,

I meant that we will update the link in the Small Business as soon as possible.
Sorry about the confusion.

I'm still experiencing hangs and "stop running this script" dialogs on Windows 8.1 and "not responding" when opening the UI to view the out of date programs -- even with the latest version installed.

So this means i can use the latest version of PSI instead of using 3.0.0.7011?
