I have tried for several weeks trying to get PSI to start on my system. After a few minutes my system shows a Windows IE problem box showing the Following:
The yellow triangle with the Exclamation Point and 'Stop running this script?'
- 'A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer might become unresponsive.'
- then the Yes/No buttons.

The IE 8 I am running is Version 8.0.6001.18702.
Windows XP Professional is Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600

Have you checked your settings against the FAQ here?

I have read the FAQ and followed the information as best I can. Under the scripting area indicated my active scripting is already enabled. Added https://*.secunia.com to trusted sites. When I choose the No button when asked if I would like to stop the scripting PSI goes into 'not responding' mode. If i choose the Yes button PSI continues to try to load but doesn't. Also the FAQ indicates it is for Win 7 or Vista. I tried what is indicated for XP users also and it doesn't help.

Same exact problem, same exact operating system and same exact IE. Opposite of my better judgment I upgraded from PSI 2.0 which has worked fine for many months. Here is the full message:

"Stop running this script?

A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer might become unresponsive.

YES NO"

The message comes up about 10 or so times, and I have to keep hitting the "NO" button each time because if I don't, PSI stops loading (I can verify this with the Task Manager CPU usage chart). This process takes several minutes at which point the PSI opening screen finally comes up. Obviously this makes PSI virtually unusable as I am not going to spend several minutes hitting buttons every time I want to run PSI.

Where can I download PSI version 2 so I can revert to a working version?

NOTE: I do not have this problem on my Windows 7 computer.

I would suggest you both try a revert to version 2. The link is here on the right hand side of the page:

I am reverting to 2 now but I will keep checking back to see if there is any updates. It seems that is anyone from Secunia is reading the Forums, they might figure out how to fix this. Thanks.

I am in no rush, so I have not got to it yet. Is there a 3.0 fix in the pipeline? If you are just wondering if version 2.0 works, yes it does, as that is what previously was on the computer. If you are asking because you want me to test something or want system information about the 3.0 install, just let me know.

I was merely asking because I advised reverting back.

I am not aware that Secunia are looking at any fix other than what they have produced within the FAQ.

Perhaps best you contact them direct:
