Hi there,

I checked various solutions from the community tipps. Thanx for this :-)
(all windows updates; active scripting; trusted sites in IE11 and KIS2014; PSI Agent service; re-install an so on)
But no one solved the issue: PSI won't load, still window "Loading ..."

The PSI seems to be working, because the green try icon indicates all programs are OK.
My system is on W7Ultimate64 with all WindowsUpdates.

Pls let me know if there is anything to do in this matter.
seems to be an nerver ending story ...

Thanx to you
Matthias

@Matthias. Kurz

If you're sure your settings conform to those in the FAQ here :-
The Secunia PSI won’t load the interface or won’t complete scanning. What can I do?
http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal... There was a problem with IE11 and the latest version of psi... 3.0.0.9015....but that seems to have been fixed in most cases.
You could try reverting to a slightly earlier version 3.0.0.7011....there's a link in M. Hansen's post here :-
https://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/14...

Hope it helps.....regards....mogs...

PS.
You can see from the Changelog that the latest version may not be absolutely essential for you :-

@Matthias Kurz

You've checked nothing has altered in your firewall permissions havn't you.....since installing 3.0.0.7011 ? Psi and the Agent ?
Sometimes a setting gets altered....it's worth checking the FAQ again.

When you installed last...did you let it remove the previous version ?

The only other thing I can think to suggest, is to make sure you clear out Temp files etc., with CCleaner or some such before trying a re-install.........other than that...haps Support will pick up on this thread, and have something to add.
If you just want to get up and running....a few W7 users have had problems with psi 3.0....you could try psi 2.0.
http://secunia.com/products/consumer/PSI/sys_req/ ( See over on the right of the page ).

Sorry I can't be of more help.....regards.......mogs....

@Matthias.Kurz

You've checked thro' the last paras of the FAQ since installing ? :-
Please note that some Internet Security Suites (Kaspersky Internet Security is currently an example) have their own settings for trusted sites. In case you are using such a program, you need to allow “https://*.secunia.com” as a trusted site in this program as well as in Internet Explorer. If you experience any difficulty doing this, please contact the vendor of the program.

If you are still having problems with the Secunia PSI, the services on which the Secunia PSI depends may have been disabled. To verify that they are running, type “Administrative tools” in the start menu search bar or open Administrative tools from the Control Panel.

Now click the Services tool and verify that the “Secunia PSI Agent” is listed and has its “Startup type” set to “Automatic”.

A shot in the dark.........
Are you a gamer ?
I seem to remember someone having a problem similar....I can't find the post tho'......it was something to do with the counter/clock holding him out....sorry I can't be specific; very exact....that's just the gist of it.

Regards.....mogs........

Hi mogs,

I reinstall PSI without KIS2014 started.
I checked the services and they are on automatic and started.
Still the same problem.

The only game I am playing sometimes ist TDU2.

What is that you mentioned with "counter/clock holding him out..." ?
Is it a problem with the gui?

PSI try icon idicates 100% secunia system score.
Only gui is not loading ...

best regards
Matthias

Same problem. It started up fine a few days ago when I installed it (Version with the fixed IE 11 bug), and with absolutely no changes to my computer, today I tried it and it just gets stuck with the "LOADING" message.

EDIT: Magically started working. Could this be a "User Access Control Issue"? This might be a coincidence, but it would not work from the taskbar, but works from the start menu with the "User Access Control" question. I imagine it also could be the Secunia servers being slow to respond.

Could well be - the opening GUI & full PSI scan timings has been well below my daily benchmark figures for over a week.

The Forum has "its moments" as well regarding page loading time.

It is certain not my ISP - it remains constant at 76 - 78 MB download.

I try to open PSI with right click "run as admin". Accept ACL alert...

And I try to open via right click on try icon and "Open Secunia PSI".

How long are you waiting for the opening GUI to open?

If more than 10 minutes I would run a clean Log File & publish it to the Forum. @mogs can then do a comparison for you if required to check any differences.

I cannot help because I use SMB which gives a different log file result.

hi,

I let it run for 20mins.
What kind of log file do you suggest?
Or which program to create?

Thank you.

Same issue as Mathias.

All I did was let IE 11 install last week.

NOTE I only use Firefox but IE 11 I figured I better get on this Win 7 system.

My fix for now. I gave up on PSI after years of running with it. I still miss PSI 2 but
won't be going back to that due to it's flash issues when trying to update flash.

So fix for this user for now. Unintall PSI and wait till you all fix it right. Doing all the
mess 'fix' suggestions is overtly annoying.

Jacking with IE 11 internet settings is not a solution and if proffered you at PSI should
be extremely explicit exactly what settings rather than the vauge offeriing in the FAQ I read.

IE 11 internet settings is obtuse as it is, 3rd party vendors dont help me by being even more obtuse and non specific.

@UziUzi ,

I think you are confusing version 1.5.0.2 (which needs Flash to display) and versions2.x (which does not need the Flash ActiveX .ocx) or do you mean that you cannot/could not update Flash - I would only ever manually update Flash whichever version of the PSI is installed .

The FAQ's could not be more explicit and are set for "ALL" users (including non-technicals such as I) .

If you have just installed IE 11 then that is likely the cause of "your" problem and you will need to be sure that the PSI can connect to the Secunia Servers using the embedded IE engine ; see :-

http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal...

Nothing there has basically changed for a very long time , so as a long time user , I would have thought you would have realised this .

If the correct settings do not let you run the PSI version 3.x , then I would suggest you tryversion 2.x . I can personally recommend 2.0.0.3003

Take care

Anthony

I had enough. I am reverting back to version 2. I waited 30 minutes for it to load today and it never started. Some days it loads normally, other days it is either extremely slow or it takes so long that I just give up. I already had to uninstall version 3 on my other computer (XP) because of the multiple "Stop running this script?" error messages during startup. No biggy, as version 2 has always run on various computers without a glitch.
