Why are there 0 advisories here when PSI reports, "This program was detected as being End-of-Life, which means that the vendor no longer supports this program. It is strongly recommended that you upgrade to a newer version of this program or uninstall it from your PC."
How can there be no vendor? is it part of XP? (Ms!) Is it just unknown?

@PSIJB

The Advisory is here :-
http://secunia.com/advisories/product/9349/?task=a...
Excerpt
Most Critical Unpatched
There are no unpatched Secunia advisories affecting this product, when all vendor patches are applied..

So it seems as though it's still safe to use it.
Can't find a reference to the vendor in the Advisory.....Lots of suppliers from search....looks like the following is the author :-

Motherboard Monitor 5.0 - Download
motherboard-monitor.updatestar.com Cached
Motherboard Monitor, free download. Motherboard Monitor 5.0: Alexander van Kaam

Hope it helps.......regards.........mogs

There will not be an advisory as it is not currently vulnerable.

The scan results is merely warning you it is End of Life so that you can make a Risk Assessment on what to do having checked any advisories.

It is not part of Windows & the generic link supplied leads to here:

http://www.serpanalytics.com/site/mbm.livewiredev....

That link may not help because the author (Alex Van Kaam) did "a runner" in 2004 hence there is no vendor for that programme. Many of the old links explaining the rationale for ditching this programme do not work but this gives the background.

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/105811-30-moth... (Be aware this site has pop ups & tracking cookies).

Why Secunia have only just noted it is EOL remains a mystery.
