I did not manage to add a new program. The name of the program is PhraseExpress. I included Secunia among the IE authorized sites. But Secunia keeps telling me that it cannot add the program. C:\Program Files\PhraseExpress\phraseexpress.exe
Please inform how shall I proceed.
Thank you
Sylvio, from Brazil

What notifications or error messages do you get when you use this method?

SUGGESTING A NEW PROGRAMME TO SECUNIA

Secunia do not accept programmes versions in ALPHA(Includes Google Canary/Dev & Mozilla Aurora) or BETA.

PSI Version 3
1. Open PSI>show programmes - U should see all your programmes listed by an icon or list presentation.
2. Click Add Program (top right of page)
3. Fill out the details requested & click Send Data.

PSI Version 2

1. From the DASHBOARD page click on RESULTS.
2. On the RESULTS page look above the tab INSTALL SOLUTION & U will see a green icon & ARE YOU MISSING A PROGRAM?
3. Click it. Fill out the details requested.
4. Click SUGGEST SOFTWARE.

PSI Version 1

1. Open the PATCHED or SECURE BROWSING tab.
2. Scroll to the bottom where U will see a link in blue ink "Program Missing? Suggest It Here!"
3. Click the link & then fill out the details in the boxes that appear(the important bit is the FILE SELECTION).
4. Click Suggest Program.

If requested, Secunia respond by email that the programme has been added to their database. A full PSI scan should reveal it.

Thank you, Maurice.
My PSI is version 3 and I followed the indicated steps.
I will wait for the requested 24 hours to see if
the program will be included by Secunia PSI.
Thank you for your answer, and a happy New Year.
Regards,
Sylvio, from Brazil

If Secunia have accepted your suggestion it could take longer than 24 hours.

I am unsure of the holiday arrangements for the Secunia Staff over the Christmas & New Year period.

EDIT 30/12/2013 1000 hours GMT

I now note that the new version 10 has been added to the Secunia database.

If you complete a full PSI scan is it now showing?

Hi, Maurice

I received an e-mail from Secunia informing that PhraseExpress "10.x" has been added to their database. However, I did run a scan and the program does not appear. My version of PhraseExpress is "10.0.132d", it is a FREE VERSION, would this be the reason? Or is it too soon to have new results?
Thank you for your patience.
Regards,
Sylvio

Being a free version should not stop it from showing in the scan results.

After the next reboot of your PC try another full PSI scan & see if that helps.

Is this the download link you are using?

Hi, Maurice

I excluded all Microsoft updates, saw no reason to keep them since all Windows and Microsoft updates are done by Windows Update. Now PhraseExpress appears, is being detected. If it is a result of excluding the Microsoft updates I don't know. Thank you for your efforts in helping me!
Happy 2014!

Pleased to see you are all fixed up.

On that basis, I will lock this thread for you sometime tomorrow unless you post back asking for it to be left open.

This will protect your mail box from possible update emails from "tag on" posts

You can of course lock threads you have created. Just click the ACCEPT button in the post of the helper who offered you the best solution/advice to solve your problem.

Secunia Support can always reopen threads by applying by email to: support@secunia.com

Happy New Year.
