Running PSI 1.0.0.3. Full System Scan endlessly cycles on "Matching data with Secunia File Signatures engine" and does not complete. Tried three times. Scan normally takes no more than 2 minutes 15 seconds. Gave up after 4 minutes 30 seconds, so "endlessly" may (or may not) be an exaggeration.

Hi,
I'm experiencing the same problem. The strange thing is that it has never happened before, or at least not to me.
Perhaps the Secunia file signature server is down ?

I am having the same problem, on three different PCs - two desktops and one laptop (yes, all for personal use).

I believe it's a database problem at Secunia. It must have gotten corrupted. I looked everywhere on my PC to try to find any stored database that I could delete. There appears to be none. It must be temporarily stored in memory while the scan is running.

BTW, the next version of PSI should check to see if a scan is already in progress. It appears that it presently scans for 15 minutes and then tries again, stopping the scan which is still running. This creates a never ending loop of scans, one after another.

If it cannot reach the Secunia server it should wait 30 minutes and try again.

Whatever the problem was, it has apparently been fixed, as the scan is now completing properly.
