Is there a way through which we can delete the *.exe files for the portable apps?

We have some software available in our environment but i can't seem to find a neat way of doing this since the software is not installed in the machine at all.

Last edited on 2nd May, 2014 12:23 Hi,

Please take a look at the below posted article on what could be done to perform the procedure you requested.
http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/148...

In your case you would have to modify your SPS package script to include functions that perform a deletion of the files you wish to remove.

Let us know if you have additional questions.

Hi,

Unfortunately, we cannot provide you with additional custom scripts to perform the type of activity you request. Secunia does not provide support for such a functionality, as this is left optional to users to use as 'per own wish and knowledge'.

This functionality is possible because of the extended open design of the CSI interface, but it's not officially supported by us. Customers are welcome to use it, but we cannot assist them with preparing custom scripts for them. Should you want to use this additional functionality, you would have to prepare your script and test it before deploying your patches to production.

The article I pointed out explains theoretically how the package system works and what you should expect as mandatory configuration in your scripts. However, I would also recommend you to gain more knowledge about the desired procedure by going to SPS and looking at an active script we provided for an Update package. You may as well be able to re-use this script partially, or entirely to achieve the custom configuration you are aiming at.

Kind regards / Stay Secure
