Secunia PSI will not update nor recognize my manual update of Media Player Classic. See the screenshot here:

After I manually installed the update, I rebooted and then rescanned, but I get the same result shown above.

It looks like remnants of version 1.4.2499.0 remain installed & require manual deletion.

Open PSI>once open select Show Programs.

U will now see a page full of programme icons or a list.

Right click on the icon that represents the programme in error>select Show Details - that will open a box showing the path & version number of the offending file.

Double click on it.

That will open Windows Explorer & U will see that file. Right click on it & select delete.

Run a full PSI scan & the problem should be resolved.

Pleased to see you are all fixed up.

On that basis, I will lock this thread for you sometime tomorrow unless you post back asking for it to be left open.

This will protect your mail box from possible update emails from "tag on" posts

You can of course lock threads you have created. Just click the ACCEPT button in the post of the helper who offered you the best solution/advice to solve your problem.
