I keep getting a message that lists all components of the Office 2003 Small Business Edition my company as requiring updates. However, my Windows update assures me that there are no updates available. Why the discrepancy? (My system is Windows 7 64-bit, running on a unmodified HP/Compaq dc7800S)

The scan should be stating that Office 2003 is End of Life. This refers:

http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/?p1=2488

http://support.microsoft.com/gp/msl-winxp-office-e...

On that basis Secunia PSI should be urging you to upgrade to a supported version as Microsoft will not issue any further security or non - security updates for 2003.

You will note that there is a issue with 2003 which is unlikely to be fixed.
