Each time I start a scan it gets to 85% and seems to be continuing but it never goes beyond 85%.

You could try this:
The Secunia PSI needs to be able to connect to Secunia servers to complete its scanning. However, if you have configured
the security settings of your Internet Explorer, the Secunia PSI may be prevented from getting the scan results. To receive
your scan results, you need to do some changes to your Internet options.
To do this:
a. Open Internet Explorer.
b. Go to Tools>Internet Options>Security tab.
c. Select the Internet zone and click on the Custom Level button.
d. In Security Settings, go to the Scripting>Active Scripting option.
e. Make sure that Active Scripting is Enabled (rather than Disabled or Prompted).
f. Press OK then Yes.
g. Back in the Security tab, select the Trusted sites zone and click on the Sites button.
h. Type in the following and press the Add button to add them to the Trusted Sites list:
http://*.secunia.com
https://*.secunia.com
i. Press Close, then OK.
j. Run the Secunia PSI again to view the scan results.
Hope this helps, good luck.
Regards, wr

Thanks wr. I followed your instructions but the Trusted Zone would only accept https//:*.secunia.com.

It gave me an error message that only https site would be accepted.

When I ran another scan it stopped at 85% and wouldn't go any further. This problem only started about a week ago.

There is a bit missing from the advice U were given. I have inserted it in BOLD.

g.Back in the Security tab, select the Trusted sites zone and click on the Sites button.
h. LOOK AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE AND TAKE THE TICK FROM THE BOX MARKED "REQUIRE SERVER VERIFICATION (HTTPS) FOR ALL SITE ZONES" then type in the following and press the Add button to add them to the Trusted Sites list:
http://*.secunia.com
https://*.secunia.com
i. Press Close, then OK.
j. Run the Secunia PSI again to view the scan results.

Both the sites will now be OK.

How careless of me to leave out that very important step. Thanks Maurice for catching that mistake & correcting it. Thank you very much. Guess I should proof read a little closer.

I was able to add https//*.secunia.com to the trusted sites but the program refused to accept any http//.
The error message said that only https// would be accepted. I followed all the instructions. Thanks but the scanning still stops at 85%.
