Why is it that PSi keeps telling me that a program is insecure after I have updated it - I then re-scan - it is still classed as insecure
2 hours later it will give me a message that I have patched it.
I'm having to learn that I have to fix something and then wait 2 hours or more before PSI can recognise it.
The lastest silliness was when it kept reproting that a Adobe Flash10a.ocx was insecure when it had been deleted and didn't exist - but for the next 40 minutes even re-scanning the non-existent file still reported that the non-existent file was insecure.
This certainly makes me feel insecure about Secunia!!!

|You probably did update, however not all updates delete/overwrite the old files. To locate the exact file that the Secunia PSI has detected, please follow these guidelines using the
* Click on the entry of the program to “expand” it.
* Click on Technical details to see the installation path of the detected file.
* Remember the installation path and close down the menu.
* Click Open Folder and locate the detected file.
You can then manually delete these remnants-reboot-rescan & hopefully all is well. Good luck & regards. The same principles apply for programs that are deleted using Windoze add/remove utility not all files are removed, use the same procedure as above to manually delete the unwanted/unneeded files. From your post I presume you have 2 different problems i.update of program ii. deletion of unwanted program. Hope this helps-good luck & regards. wr
