I have tried three times to download latest update and have been unsuccessful. The error I am getting is "installer integrity check has failed". Any help in this area?

You don't indicate what program you're trying to update. This problem may be an incomplete or corrupt download. This program may be of help.
Windows Installer Cleanup Utility tool
Good luck, wr

Secunia PSI. The user interface says there is a new version available. The downloaded file is: PSISetup.exe

When you run PSISetup.exe, it says:

Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installer's author to obtain a new copy. More information at: http://nsis.sf.net/NSIS_Error

The link to install is here:
http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal...

Select the RUN option - Secunia will auto uninstall old version & install new.

If this fails to work download this:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
Once installed scroll down until you see Secunia PSI - highlight it & click remove.
Reboot then redownload Secunia using the method described above.

This all sounds like too much work to download a new version of an app. I'll wait until Secunia has this fixed. I'm not jumping thru all those hoops, etc. to get this done.

I was getting the same error in IE. So I went to http://secunia.com/PSISetup.exe in Firefox, saved the download, ran it, and it installed successfully.

I Did this too (used Firefox) and got right thru and it loaded fine. Perhaps it's something to do w/the browser used. I was in AOL Desktop, and it does sometimes work funky w/some loaders. Thanks for your help! Much easier than maninpulating files, restarting, etc. -- jes

It also works using Google Chrome instead of IE.

See thread by bemidji above yours if the program you are trying to update is Secunia's PSI.
