How can this be uninstalled when it is not listed, and the program itself does not provide an uninstall option from the Start | Programs menu or from the screen that opens when I load the program?

It is located in c:\Program Files\InterVideo\WinDVD\WinDVD.exe

I do not want to update it.

To locate the exact file that the Secunia PSI has detected, please follow there guidelines using the
ADVANCED interface:
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
* Click on the + sign of the program to “expand’ it.
* Click on Technical Details in the Toolbox to see the installation path of the detected file.
* Remember the installation path and close down the menu.
* Click Open Folder and locate the detected file.
You can then manually delete the unneeded file(s).
Regards, wr

Miriam,
This programme uses InstallSheild as an installer so not surprised there is a problem. Have looked on the Coral website for U but there is no help for the old V5 but plenty of people are asking your question on the Coral forum!

Many on the Coral website have had success by manually uninstalling.

Navigate to the folder U gave - c:\Program Files\InterVideo\WinDVD\WinDVD.exe

Right click & delete it.

Go to Start>All Programs> if U can still see any reference to the program delete that as well.

If U have a registry cleaner (CCleaner for example) use that to see if it removes any more dross.

An alternative is to use a programme called Revo Uninstaller in the Hunter mode if U have it installed.
@wr
Not sure why U want the path - Miriam gave it in her thread.

Hi, wr and Maurice,

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I'll delete the directories containing the program, and may edit the registry to clean out references to it, or use the registry cleaner.

I just wanted to be sure that I wasn't missing anything.
