I followed Secunia advice to upgrade Thunderbird 2.0.0.21 from 2.0.0.14. However when Secunia re-scans this program it does not appear to recognise the .21 version. I have restarted several times but this does not make a difference. Any suggestions? |

Have you run a full scan or only a rescan of that one program? Recommend a full scan be taken.

Yes, I have run full scan twice since installing update to Thunderbird; I have also double-checked Thuderbird has been updated successfully to the latest version. |

What is the path to the file?
To locate the exact file that the Secunia PSI has detected, please follow there guidelines using the
ADVANCED interface:
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
* Click on the + sign of the programme to “expand’ it.
* Click on Technical Details in the Toolbox to see the installation path of the detected file.

Maurice,
Thanks for prompting me to look at the filepath. I discovered old versions of this program lurking in a drive which I no longer use to install programs on. The old version didn't appear in Control Panel (Add/REmove Programs) list.
Old version now deleted and all threats known to Secunia taken care of for now.
Cheers. |

It happens a lot if your using beta versions of mozilla. I am not sure but I thinks its because they're not sure how stable the update will be and that way you can go back to the stable version. Remember everything is build on layers. |
